In my last email, I told you about a founder who was holding down a part-time job just to keep her business alive.

She had three days a week to run a whole business, and those three days were generally taken up by questions, decisions and problems that should have never reached her Slack.

She knew the business had potential. She just had no space to do anything about it.

​So she made a decision. It was now or never. Make the 6 month investment, and if we can make it happen, great! (spoiler: we did make it work and she actually increased hours to keep up with the new work she was bringing in)

When most people hear "OBM," they assume we come in and overhaul everything. Audit the systems, rebuild the processes, implement a new tech stack. And yes, there is an element of that.

But that isn't really what we do. And it's almost never what the business actually needs first.
​

What this founder needed wasn't a systems overhaul. She needed to be removed from the operational centre of her own business.

Before we ever start, I personally review the fit. Our team is fully audited on a regular basis, and I assign each client based on their business model, their working style, and their personality.

Then we kick off the partnership together.
​
From there, her OBM got to know the business, got to know the team, and started making the calls that our founder had always made herself.
​

Within weeks, she had her three days back. Like properly back.

And she used them.

​
​She handed in her notice on the part-time job. She got out in front of the right people, had the conversations that turn into clients, and started showing up as the CEO her business had always needed her to be.

Six months later, that business has gone from the brink of closing to close to SEVEN figures!​

For a lot of founders, seven figures feels like a pipe dream. Something that happens for other people, in other businesses, with more time and more resource than they've got.

We didn't change everything overnight. We just removed her from the place she'd been stuck and gave her the space to do what she was always capable of.​
​

That's the part people don't expect. They think stepping back is going to be complicated. It isn't.
​

What's complicated is deciding you're ready to stop being the bottleneck in your own business. Trusting someone else to manage your business and make the calls you've always made yourself. Letting go of the day-to-day when there's no real structure to hand it over to yet.
